Edgeworthia chrysantha 'Nanjing Gold', Paper Bush

Introduced in 2001 by Cistus Nursery, this selection of Edgeworthia has larger blue-green leaves than the species, giving the plant a tropical look.  2-inch clusters of robust golden flowers bloom in late winter on bare stems, with a Daphne-like perfume.  Appreciates a sheltered site with evenly moist, organic-rich soil.

Mature size: 6-8 feet tall & wide

Minimum temperature: 10° F
